genetic diversity of aegilops triuncialis l. accessions of iran revealed by microsatellite markers
Authors
abstract
in order to study the genetic diversity among 35 accessions of ae. triuncialis l. from17 ssr loci of 56 primer pairs originated from a and d genomes of bread wheat were used. seventy one fragments amplified totally and 68 of them were polymorph between genotypes. allele number ranged from 1 to 8 with average 4.18 per locus. pic value of markers was from 0.593 (xgwm-30-2d, xgwm-383-3d, xgwm-654-5d) to 0.861(xgwm-156-5a) and marker index varied from 1.779 to 6.888. average genetic distance of genotypes was 0.859. two accessions from lorestan and khoozestan with least genetic distance (0.231) was the most similar genotypes. cluster analysis was not able to separate accessions from each other. no relationships between genetic and geographic variation indicates high amount of genetic diversity among genotypes. all molecular variation was from within groups which indicate no specific ssr alleles for accessions. this genetic diversity and transferability of known ssrs in cultivated could be assigned as useful tools to management of wild wheat genetic resources.

Genetic analysis of pike-perch, Sander lucioperca L., populations revealed by microsatellite DNA markers in Iran
This study was conducted in order to investigate genetic diversity and population structure of pike-perch in the Northern part of Iran. For this purpose, 207 adult pike-perches from four regions of the Caspian Sea watershed (Talesh Coasts, Anzali Wetland, Chaboksar Coasts and Aras Dam) were collected. DNA was extracted and by using 15 pairs of microsatellite primers, Polymerase Chain Reaction (...
full textGenetic diversity of Iranian melon cultigens revealed by AFLP markers
Iran is a part of the secondary centre of origin of melons, and therefore, there is a wealth of genetic variation of these species in this country. The Amplified Fragment Length Polymorphism (AFLP) marker was applied to investigate the genetic variations among five major Iranian melon cultigens (Cucumis melo) and ‘Ananasi’ as a general well-known cultivar. Ten primer pairs were used on 90 indiv...
full textgenetic diversity among accessions of aegilops triunsialis l. from west of iran using issr molecular markers
west part of iran is considered as one of the center of diversity for aegilops triunsialis, therefore, study of its genetic diversity in this area is extremely important regarding evolution of this plant. the genetic variation among 40 accessions of ae.triunsialis collected from west of iran were studied using 12 issr markers. dna was extracted, concentrations adjusted and five samples from eac...

Sweet flag (Acorus calamus) is a perennial, semi-aquatic and aromatic plant of the family Acoraceae that, in addition to its multiple medicinal properties, is used in health, food and agricultural industries (as pest control). This research was conducted to comparasion study of genetic diversity of natural and regenerated plants from tissue culture of Arzefon, Pelesk and Alandan populations of ...
full textAssessment of genetic diversity and relationship of coastal salt tolerant rice accessions of Kerala (South India) using microsatellite markers
Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is one of the most significant cereal crops, about 3 billion people, nearly half the world's population; depend on rice for survival and it offers up to 80% of daily energy intake in most of the Asian countries. Knowledge of the distribution, extent and pattern of genetic variation is useful for estimation of any possible loss of genetic diversity and its role in breeding...
